Summary

  • add a Telegram HTML reply helper that trims leading whitespace at the send boundary
  • convert remaining Markdown command replies to HTML-formatted sends
  • escape dynamic channel handles and debug JSON before HTML parse mode
  • add focused helper tests for trimming, Markdown-ish locale conversion, dynamic escaping, and parse_mode override

Validation

  • npm test passed
  • rg -n "replyWithMarkdown|MarkdownV2|parse_mode: 'Markdown|parse_mode: \\\"Markdown|Extra\\.markdown" src returned no matches\n- git diff --check passed\n- npm run build-ts still fails on pre-existing repo-wide Telegraf/telegram-typings errors: ContextMessageUpdate export errors across existing files and missing telegram-typings in models\n\n## Manual QA handoff\n- Required after review/deploy: Telegram Web QA against the reported Friday/Randymbot flow from Telegram DM #14014 / bot context #1660\n- Expected: no initial blank gap before visible text, Telegram renders HTML formatting correctly, and no parse errors occur\n- Screenshot evidence ref from ticket: media://inbound/37496baf-c376-43aa-893a-43c58e1c381a.jpg

Review blocker for GEN-KANEO-17: I’m not merging this PR because it appears to target the wrong repo/scope. The ticket is for the Friday bot generated reply flow in backmeupplz/telegram-ai-searcher, but this PR only changes randymbot command replies and does not touch the generated/streaming Friday answer path. I moved the Kaneo ticket back to rework with the concrete target repo/path and acceptance checklist. GitHub would not allow a formal changes-requested review because this account owns the PR.
