  Watch-only accounts and offline signing (#20)

  • Watch-only accounts (#26): add just an address, in setup or Manage accounts. Balances, Send and dapps work as usual; each transaction, message or typed data is signed in Plain Wallet on another device, such as an offline computer that holds the key (Settings → Sign a request).
  • The request goes there and the signature comes back by copy and paste, or by file in the browser extensions. Only exactly the exported transaction or message, signed by that account, is accepted; for dapps the background checks it again before broadcasting.
  • Exported transactions wait under Waiting for a signature on the home screen, so the wallet can be closed between exporting and signing.
  • Offline: the home screen says so instead of failing on every network call, and still offers to sign a request.
  • The Android app is copy and paste only.

  Chrome Web Store and Google Play. Firefox submission stays paused; iOS and macOS are not part of this release. Both stores roll out automatically after approval.

  Store submission is asynchronous; see the workflow and attached receipts for actual status, not an assertion of approval/public availability.
