Chrome rejected 0.4.0 on 2026-10-09 for facilitating gambling (the Megapot lottery, removed in #31). The submitter only replaced an older submission still in PENDING_REVIEW, so the 0.5.0 Chrome job failed with "Another Chrome submission exists".

scripts/release/submit.py: an older REJECTED or CANCELLED submission is replaced too (no cancelSubmission call, there's nothing to cancel). Held (STAGED), newer or unrecognized submissions still stop the release.
test_release.py: covers replacing an older rejected one, and refusing a newer rejected one.
Version 0.5.1, which ships to Chrome only (Play and Firefox already have 0.5.0 in review).
